With storms holding off until later in the day, the fifth annual Kids Arts Festival of Tennessee had a solid turnout Saturday at Pinkerton Park in Franklin.

In fact, it was so solid that options for parking became a bit limited. Volunteers were doing their best to keep traffic flowing while helping attendees find available spots. Many parked over on South Margin Street and simply crossed the bridge across the Harpeth River into Pinkerton Park.

Sponsored by the city of Franklin Parks Department, the Kids Arts Festival was a big hit for families throughout the region.

The festival offered a little of bit of everything art-wise, from face painting to T-shirt painting, a photo booth for silly pictures, and a music instrument petting zoo. There were also scores of entries on display for the art competition, as well as a stage for live performances.

In addition, young artists had the opportunity to sell their hand-crafted art at their own booths.
